CHARGE TEAM INFORMATION
At Charge, we work hard to offer volleyball for many different levels. Here is a quick look at how our teams are created.
Under Armour and National Teams
Charge will be forming our top 2 teams in each age group regardless if you live North, South, Central, East or West of the OKC metro. Our top team in each age is called Under Armour (UA) and our second team is the National team. If you want to make one of these teams, you should be at Central Tryouts. These teams primarily practice at one of the Central locations.
Central, South and West Teams
Central: Charge will also offer teams that practice at our Central locations at Lighthouse and Santa Fe Family Life Center. The Central teams are called American and Regional. If you want to make one of these teams you want to come to Central tryouts.
South: We also have teams that practice South at our North Newcastle location. The South teams are called 14-1 South, 14-2 South, etc. For ages 13-16 you will want to go to the South Tryouts to make these teams. If you are interested in making a South 12s or 17s you will come to the Central tryout location as we are combining tryouts with Central at these ages.
South Regional League: Charge South is offering (2) Regional teams at our Newcastle facility this season: one 13’s and one 14’s team.Teams will have only 10 players and there will be no tryout required. First come, first serve, so don’t delay signing up! Melissa Britten will be coordinating these teams and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (405) 551-0700. For information on South Regional League download the flyer here. Sign up online and make your down payment here.
West: New this season, Charge will be offering West teams that will practice out of Mustang schools. More information on these teams will be coming soon!
OK Charge is honored to have partnered with PAL to grow volleyball in the OKC metro area.
The Oklahoma City Police Athletic League is a juvenile crime prevention program that provides educational and athletic programs for all children, primarily those in high-risk neighborhoods. PAL brings youth under the constructive influence of responsible adults and police officers who volunteer their time to be positive role models. More information coming soon on this opportunity.
