Shannon Niemeier

We are excited that Shannon Niemeier will be taking over the head coaching duties at 15 American in 2023-24! Shannon brings to OK Charge an extensive college and high school coaching background as well as an outstanding resume as a player.  Most recently, Shannon was the Assistant Coach at the University of Tulsa. Prior to the University of Tulsa, Niemeier had a three-year coaching stint at Arkansas State. During her time at ASU, Niemeier oversaw all aspects of recruiting, led the program’s operation efforts, including travel, and handled opponent scouting.

Previously, Niemeier was an assistant volleyball coach at Edmond North (Okla.) High School, before serving as a volunteer assistant coach at Oklahoma City University.

Niemeier played two seasons at Mid-America Christian in Moore, Oklahoma, where she  completed her career ranked sixth for kills with 598 and seventh for career points. She was named to the Mid-America Christian Team of the Decade, while earning Player of the Decade honors.

A native of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Niemeier earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mid-America Christian.
