Mariah Yarbrough joins Charge this season as the 15 American assistant coach. Mariah is entering her 4th year as the Head Coach at Southwestern Christian University. Prior to SCU, Yarbrough spent three seasons as the Head Coach at Philander-Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. During her tenure with Philander-Smith College, Yarbrough built the team from a 6-win team in her first season to a 17-win team in 2019. It was their first winning season in program history.

As a player, Yarbrough began her post-high school career at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado. She would then go on to play at Philander-Smith College, where she was named a captain during her senior season.

Yarbrough received an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Otero Junior College before earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Philander-Smith.
