Chip McCaw

Chip comes to OK Charge-Tulsa with a wealth of knowledge of volleyball. Chip was a member of the US National Team from 1995 to 2000 and competed with the 2000 USA Olympic Team in Sydney, Australia. He was an alternate for the 1996 Olympic team in Atlanta. He played professional beach volleyball on the FIVB World Tour and AVP tour for over seven years.  He finished fourth at the 2001 FIVB World Championships.

Chip previously coached volleyball with Ultimate Performance. Last season, his 17s team received a bid to USAV Nationals in the Open Division at the Windy City National Qualifier and took first at the OKRVA Regional Tournament. During the 2021 season, he qualified twice with his 17s team placing 2nd at the Show Me National Qualifier in the USA division and taking 1st at the Lonestar National Qualifier in the USA division. His team tied for 5th at USAV Junior Nationals. Chip also coaches at OK Nation Volleyball, a beach volleyball club providing opportunities for girls to play beach volleyball in the Tulsa area.

McCaw served as an assistant and volunteer coach for 5 years at Pepperdine University where he was a four-year starter. He led Pepperdine to the NCAA National Championship title as a freshman in 1992.  During his collegiate career he was a 4 time All American setter in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995.  He also represented the United States at the 1992 World University Games in New York and in 1995 in Fukuoka, Japan. McCaw coached boys club volleyball for Club Rockstar in California for four years. Chip’s team finished third at the 2019 Boys Junior National Championships.

Chip is newly married to Brittany McCaw. He and Brittany have 6 kids in total. Auden (22), Zane (13), Blane (12, Sloan (9), Shane (7), and Ronnie Lee (5). They live in Jenks and love spending time outdoors with family and friends!
