15-National Assistant Coach

Alyssa (Wilson) Roy

Alyssa joins the Charge Volleyball Club for her first season, as an assistant coach. She is also a Sports Performance trainer for Alyssa’s Functional Fitness LLC. She began her coaching career while playing Division 1 volleyball at the University of Northern Colorado. She was a volleyball camp coach for the Bears in the summers and was the 14’s assistant coach for NORCO Volleyball Club her senior season. After moving back to Oklahoma in 2020 she coached the Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School Freshman team and is now a coach for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School (5th-8th grade). This past club season, she created her own volleyball club team with the intention of growing and improving the middle school program at St. Elizabeth’s.

Alyssa grew up in western Oklahoma where she played volleyball for Clinton High School. She was a part of the 2010 4A State Championship Team as well as Tournament MVP and was an All-State select. She played for Charge for 2 years on the 17-1 and 18-1 teams and finished 9th at Nationals her 18’s season. She was a 4-year starter for the University of Northern Colorado. While attending UNC, the Bears won 2 Conference Championship titles, and she was selected for the Big Sky Conference All-Tournament Team her sophomore year.

She is excited to join Coach Laurel to share her knowledge and experience with the 15’s National Team this year. Alyssa leads teams with positive encouragement while also holding players accountable for hard work and drive. Her passion and commitment for all things fitness will also be available to share with all Charge volleyball players.
