13 National Head Coach & 16-2 South Assistant

Yaya Salgado

Yaya Salgado is entering her 8th season with OK Charge, she has previously coached 13’s,14’s, and 15’s age groups. This will be her 2nd year coaching 13 National after she and her twin sister, Blue, took over midseason last year and led 13 National to a 4th place finish at the OKRVA Regional Championship. Coach Yaya is  currently on her 13th season coaching for Santa Fe South Charter School. She and Blue will also be assisting Samantha Perez with the 16-2 South team.

Coach Yaya has been part of the volleyball community for 20+ years. She continues to play competitively in adult leagues. One of her goals is to grow the game especially among the Hispanic community.

Coach Yaya is very excited to be part of a great club and is looking forward to a great season.
