15-National Head Coach

Taylor Brown

We are excited that Taylor Brown will be back as our 15 National coach for 2019-20! Her 15-National team finished in Gold in the Top 10 at last year’s OKRVA Regional tournament. This will be Brown’s 5th year as a coach for Charge. She coached high school volleyball for 4 years, 2 years as the JV Coach at Norman North and 2 years as the Head Coach for Norman High.

Taylor is a 2009 graduate from Norman High School where she played Varsity Volleyball as Outside Hitter and Varsity Soccer as Center Defender. She was recognized as team captain for each sport, and she was a member of the Oklahoma All-State teams for volleyball and soccer her senior year. Along with school ball, she played for several club teams including Oklahoma Charge for 3 years.

Brown played volleyball for a year at Barton Community College. She then transferred to Texas State University where she graduated in 2014 with a Communication Studies degree.

Taylor loves to workout and push herself physically. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She currently works at Prevail Strength and Fitness where she is a group instructor and personal trainer. Brown also teaches PE and Nutrition classes for 1st-11th grades at a private school.

Taylor develops young athletes with different training techniques including acceleration, multi-directional movement, agility, body awareness, and weightlifting. By teaching proper technique it can help with injury prevention. Her goal is to enhance sport performance through strength and conditioning, nutrition, and discipline. She uses exercises and strength training in practices and has had a lot of success in keeping her players healthy.
