Sara Ligon

Sara Ligon, 32, played as a Defensive Specialist & Libero at the high school and collegiate levels. Sara played two years at Mid-America Christian University as a DS from 2006-2008 where they were NCCAA Conference Champions back to back. Sara later went on to graduate from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma in 2011.

Sara Ligon taught 7 years and coached 5 seasons at her alma mater, Putnam City High School. During her five seasons she signed 11 Seniors to play at the collegiate level & multiple players to the First Team All-Conference BIG 10 Team.  Sara has coached 15 combined seasons of volleyball at various age levels in club. Starting at 13s and coaching as old as 18s; she is now starting her ninth year at Oklahoma Charge. 

When not in the volleyball gym, Coach Ligon enjoys spending time with her baby girl, husband and family. She enjoys watching sports, gardening, running and engaging in outdoor activities.
