Sam Lindsey

Samantha Lindsey, is starting her 11th year as a coach for Oklahoma Charge and her 20th season overall. Last year her fantastic 13UA team won the OKRVA Regional Championship, several 13s and 14s tournaments and finished 5th out of 124 teams at AAU Nationals. The two years prior at 14UA she has had incredible success. Her 2022 team won Lonestar National Qualifier Liberty division by beating 3 Top 100 ranked teams in a row to make the finals. That team finished 7th at the USAV National Tournament in Indianapolis. Her 14UA team in 2021 finished 5th in the National division at USAV Nationals in Las Vegas and ended the year ranked 47th out of all 14’s age teams in the country, regardless of division. The team finished 54-7 for the season.
 
Sam was the head coach for the 15 National or 16 National teams for Charge for 7 years prior to finally saying “yes” to a UA offer. Her National teams were outstanding and won numerous tournaments through the years.Many of her players advanced to play for UA teams and in college.
 
Prior to Charge, Sam coached club for a total of 9 years, starting with Oklahoma Wind for 4 years.  She then branched off to start a new club, OK Storm, in the Mustang area. She served as the coaching director for 5 years for OK Storm and further developed her experience coaching club in all age groups 12-18.
 
Besides coaching club, Samantha was the Head Women’s Volleyball coach for Mid-America Christian University for 3 years. She helped bring the university from competing in a Bible College division to the NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference. Samantha took a few years off from fall season volleyball to spend more time with her family.
 
From 2012-20 she was the head coach at Southwest Covenant School in Yukon. Prior to Coach Lindsey taking over the program had limited history or success. She led them to the State tournament 4 of her last 5 years.
 
As a student athlete Samantha participated in club volleyball all throughout high school. She went on to play at Mid-America Christian University and her team won the NCCAA 2001 National Championship.
 
Samantha has been married for 20 years to her wonderful husband Matt. They have two children, Faith who is 15 and Luke who is 13.
