14-National Head Coach

Jim Zepp

Born in North Miami, FL, I have been active in sports all of my life. I ran track and played football in high school.  While serving 20 years in the Air Force I played volleyball, bowling, slow/fast pitch softball and golf.

I started coaching at the Edmond YMCA in 1998 to spend time with my kids.  This led me to become the Volleyball Coordinator for the Edmond YMCA and credited with increasing the participation from ninety-eight boys and girls to five hundred sixty-five boys and girls by 2003. I have been a freshman, JV and assistant varsity coach at Cimarron Middle School, Edmond Memorial and Edmond North High Schools and started by club coaching in 2004 for OK Wind. I’ve also coached for Oklahoma Stingray and currently Oklahoma Charge for about 10 years.

In addition to coaching, I am a Computer Scientist working as a contractor for the FAA. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management at Phillips University in Enid, OK and my MBA in Information Systems at City University in Washington State.

My wife Barbara and I have three children, April, Keith and Zachary.  We are also blessed with two grandchildren, Mariella Rose Zepp and Jordyn Avery Medina.
