Jamie Clark

Jamie has over a decade of coaching experience and 26 years of playing experience. Last year, her 17-UA team finished runner-up at the OKRVA Regional Championship and qualified for Nationals in Detroit. They finished in the top 50 in the country in Detroit.

As an athlete, she was a three-time state champion for Santa Fe High School, Metro Conference MVP, and Daily Oklahoman Co-Player of the Year before going on to play for University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) where she served as team captain her senior year.

In 2003, she began coaching 16-1s for Intensity Volleyball Club in Philadelphia. She took over the Choctaw High School volleyball program in 2008 and also began coaching club volleyball for Oklahoma Peak Performance. In 2009, she won a national championship in the Youth division as an Oklahoma Region High Performance coach. While at OP2, she won two regional championships (2009, 2011), including an unprecedented championship with a club’s second team (15-2s). During this time she also served in the coaching pipeline for U.S. Women’s Sitting Volleyball and traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad as an assistant coach and team leader. She has been USA Volleyball CAP I and CAP II-certified and in 2010 she became the first Oklahoma coach to earn a BCAP I certification for beach volleyball. She transitioned to collegiate volleyball in 2011 as the Graduate Assistant for UCO while earning a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. Jamie is currently finishing her PhD in Health and Human Performance at Oklahoma State University and her research interests include athlete issues such as sport specialization, sport burnout, post-collegiate transition, and sport support relationships with parents and coaches.  This is Jamie’s forth year with Charge after serving as the Head Coach for 14-Under Armour and as  Assistant Coach for 16-Under Armour the past two seasons. She is married to Kimo Aweau (16-Under Armour) and they have two daughters, Kailea and Kalani.
