14-American Assistant Coach

Ella Lofton

Ella joins Charge this season as an assistant coach. Ella just finished her 5th and final season at Oklahoma City University, where she is majoring in Criminal Justice and Nursing.

Ella has played volleyball for 14 years. In high school, she was awarded MVP junior and senior year. She also was a captain of her varsity 6A team. Ella hauled in her fourth all-conference honor to join an exclusive club. One of OCU’s only four-time all-SAC volleyball recipients. Lofton, a senior from Cedar Park, Texas, notched 3.28 kills, 3.12 digs, 0.30 aces and 0.26 blocks per set this year. Lofton forged 14 double-doubles on the year. Lofton ranks among the top five in Stars history with 1,119 kills to go with 694 digs, 125 blocks and 45 aces in her career. Lofton contributed to OCU’s four SAC regular-season and tournament championships, four NAIA Championships appearances and two 30-win seasons. AVCA All region 2021, second team all conference and first team conference this past season.

Throughout her years, Ella has been trained in every single position on the court. She is very excited to help these players grow their skills and grow overall as people.
