Drew Tiger

Coach Drew Tiger enters into his 24th year of coaching volleyball in Oklahoma and 2nd as the 15 National Tulsa Head Coach. Previously he served as a head coach for Team Tulsa VB Club, and founder, head coach, and director of Tulsa Juniors Volleyball Club.  He also served 2 years as head coach for his Alma Mater Cascia Hall Preparatory school.  Coach Tiger is a results-oriented professional with a mission to provide in depth training to assist in the overall development of the student athlete while maximizing their true athletic potential in teaching the fundamentals, mechanics, and core competencies of volleyball while promoting teamwork as it relates to positive attitudes, accountability and the value and respect of volleyball as a team sport.

Coach Tiger began playing beach volleyball in the early 80’s while a student at the University of Southern California (USC).  After competing 17 years sand and indoor in LA, SF, Seattle, Palm Beach and Tulsa he began officiating high school volleyball in Tulsa and ultimately serving as Head Coach for USAV junior clubs and high school teams.

In his first year as Head Coach for Cascia Hall Preparatory school, he led the Lady Commandos to the 2004 Class 4-A State Volleyball Championship capturing the school’s 6th consecutive state title with a record of 36-6.  This set the school record for most wins in a single season.  In his second year at the helm, he led the Lady Commandos to the 2005 Class 4-A State Championship title match and earned Runner Up honors with another record of 36-6 while winning the school’s first Class 6-A volleyball tournament.  Coach Tiger compiled a winning record of 72-12 (.857) at Cascia while holding the #1 ranking in Class 4-A from wire-to-wire both years.  In his 2nd season in 2005 he was selected by the Tulsa World as the inaugural Coach of the Year the paper honors each year during All State. He was also a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Coach Tiger possesses demonstrated strengths, significant results, and extensive training to increase skill set, enhance knowledge base, and to manage, train, and develop players from 8 – 18 years old while competing in USAV sanctioned tournaments that ultimately increases their volleyball IQ.
